Terms of Service

PodiumOracle (podiumoracle.com) is run by BFT LLC ("we", "us"). These terms apply to anyone who uses the site. By using it, or by creating an account or buying Podium+, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What PodiumOracle is

PodiumOracle publishes sports statistics and forecasts: win probabilities, season simulations, ratings, results and downloadable data, made by statistical models from public data. The Podium chat assistant answers questions from the same numbers using third-party AI models.

Forecasts are estimates, not advice. They can be wrong, and a 70% favourite loses three times in ten. Nothing on the site is betting, financial or professional advice, and we don't take bets or offer gambling. If you bet, do so legally, responsibly and at your own risk. Chat answers can be wrong too; the pages are the source.

Accounts

  • You need to be at least 13 to create an account, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to buy Podium+.
  • Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at support@podiumoracle.com if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Sign-in is provided by Clerk. You can delete your account at any time from your account page; that also cancels any subscription.

Podium+

  • Podium+ is a subscription, currently $1.99 a month or $19.99 a year, plus any sales tax or VAT shown at checkout. It renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
  • Free trial: your first Podium+ subscription starts with a free trial (3 days for monthly, 7 days for yearly), once per person. A payment method is needed to start it. If you cancel before the trial ends you won't be charged; otherwise the first payment is taken when the trial ends, and then each month or year.
  • It includes unlimited favourites and a larger monthly chat allowance, measured in credits (a credit is a tenth of a cent of AI model cost). Credits reset on the 1st of each month (UTC), don't roll over, can't be transferred and have no cash value.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account page ("Manage subscription"). You keep Podium+ until the end of the month or year you've paid for (or the end of the trial), and you won't be charged again. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments, which calculates and collects tax and helps with payment questions. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
  • We may change the price or what's included. We'll tell you before a price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
  • Features and allowances can change as the service develops. If we stop offering Podium+, we'll refund any unused time you've paid for.

Using the site and its data

  • You're welcome to read, share and quote our forecasts, and Podium+ subscribers to use the CSV downloads, for personal, research and non-commercial use, with credit to PodiumOracle and a link back to the page. Commercial use or redistribution of the data in bulk needs our written permission.
  • Some underlying data (results, schedules, logos) comes from third parties and belongs to them; team and league names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
  • Please don't: overload or disrupt the site; scrape it in a way that harms its performance; get around rate limits, allowances or access controls; use the chat to generate spam or anything unlawful; try to break its security; or use the site to break any law.

What you send us

You keep ownership of what you write, such as chat questions, feedback and feature requests. You let us use it to run and improve PodiumOracle (for example, to answer your question or to build a feature you asked for). Don't include other people's personal information or anything confidential.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". Data sources can be late or wrong, live scores can lag, and parts of the site can be unavailable. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for losses from decisions (including bets) made using the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $20, whichever is more. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Ending use

You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the site or other people at risk; if we close a paid account without cause, we'll refund unused paid time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; for significant changes we'll give notice on the site or by email before they apply. Using the site after they take effect means you accept them.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which BFT LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live gives you the right to other protections. Questions: support@podiumoracle.com.
